An afternoon with Sir Terry Waite

In collaboration with the Felixstowe Book Festival, we are delighted to welcome Sir Terry Waite KCMG CBE back on board for an informal talk.

From the remote regions of the Australian outback, to the peaceful surroundings of a small Suffolk village; global tours with the Archbishop of Canterbury and a story book set in Suffolk for young children, Terry Waite has written widely about these places. He has written about some of the infamous people he has met during his lifetime such as George Blake the Soviet double agent whom he met in Moscow and Svetlana Stalin former leader of the Soviet Nation. Also a book of narrative and poetry, ‘Out of the Silence’ which is to be found by the bedside of many people who enjoy reading a section before sleeping.
In this journey up the river Orwell, Terry will speak about these books and take his listeners behind the scenes for some of the events which have occurred in his amazingly varied life.

This will be a unique opportunity to listen to and meet an extraordinary individual. An afternoon not to be missed!
