Now in its third year, hear from Howard Morris and Charlie Sharp who worked on the construction of our iconic Orwell Bridge!
The trip takes place on Sunday 6 October, leaving at 2pm, passing and dwelling under the bridge and then continuing along the river before turning and returning around 5pm.
Howard and Charlie’s talk discusses the bridge from conception, through planning and design, covers how the structure took shape over 3 years and 3 months of construction (opening in December 1982) and even covers a certain Yorkie advert.
