Suffolk Wildlife Trust on the river

We have two trips with Suffolk Wildlife Trust this year (following on from the popularity of last year’s trips!). Our first took place in April, we were joined on board by 50 passengers. This is the only time we see people looking at the river through binoculars, rather than taking photos! We spotted many birds, and the team discussed the imapct of the habitat on all the wildlife along the river, and pointed out geographical areas of interest. We even saw a heath fire on the way back into the port (with firefighters in attendance).

A big thank you to Sophie Flux (Senior Business Partnerships Officer), Joe Underwood (Warden at Trimley Marshes), Jesse Walker (Brand & Communications Officer) and Justin Zantboer (SWT volunteer) for their enthusiasm. If you would like to join us on the second trip of the year, click here.

We are proud Corporate Ambassadors of Suffolk Wildlife Trust, to read more about their work, click here.
